Your Creativity Toolbox
As a creative person, you have a creativity toolbox — real or imagined. Have you ever thought about what might be in your personal toolbox?
As a writer, mine has:
- computer
- paper
- pens (all kinds & colors)
- notebooks (3-ring, spiral, steno)
- flash drives
- external hard drive
- printer
- paperclips (all colors, sizes, & shapes)
- magazines
- books
- Internet sites
As a beader/jewelry-maker, mine has:
- BEADS!!!! (all shapes, sizes, and colors)
- wire
- pliers
- nippers
- findings (clasps, ear wires, crimp beads & covers, etc.)
- thread
- wax (to keep thread from tangling)
- magazines
- books
I don’t consider myself a paint artist (awkward phrasing but differentiates from a jewelry artist), but my toolbox there even has tools unique to those pursuits.
What would be in the creativity toolbox for a cook?
Gardener?
Parent?
Teacher?
Counselor?
If you think about it, everyone should have a creativity toolbox. Don’t worry if you don’t know what’s in yours. We’re going to be covering the various tools you have in your creativity toolbox and how to use them in other than obvious ways.
